What Should Be in Your Makeup Bag

The face beat game could get really confusing with the endless makeup products that are available with every item seeming like a “must-have.” The result of this is an extra bulky makeup bag with more than half of the items unused. If you are a make-up pro and know how to use every item in that makeup bag, good for you. But if you are just learning the ropes, I’ll tell you some things you should have and you’re good to go.

Liquid Foundation: Foundation is basically what sets your face ready for makeup. It gives you an even plane on which other makeup can be places on. Be sure to choose a good product and also ensure you buy the right colour for your skin too.

Pressed Powder: This is your regular powder you apply on your face. Just like the foundation, be sure to buy the right colour for your skin from a good brand.

Setting Powder: This helps your make up stay in place, especially when you use concealer. It’s also a powder but like the name implies, it sets your makeup.
Blush: It’s a nice-to-have especially when you have outings and events. You do not necessarily have to use this every day.

Brush Set: The best applicator for your powder and other makeup is a brush. This is much better than the puffs or pad the powder and eye shadow come with. A complete brush set would have brushes for foundation, powder, blush, eye shadow and other makeup you might need to apply.
Beauty Blender: You must have been seeing an oval shaped coloured foam people use to apply make up to their faces. It’s an amazing product that allows you blend your makeup into your skin properly. You need one.

Eye Brow Pencil: This helps you draw those fleeky brows. Get a colour that suits you as well. The most popular colour is the dark brown. It gives your brows a natural look.
Waterproof eyeliner: The waterproof eyeliner is a liquid eyeliner that can be used to line your eyelids. Be careful not to smear it while applying on your face.
Lipstick or Lip stains: To give your lips some colour and moisture, you need either lipsticks or lip stains. Lip stains are like liquid lipsticks. If you aren’t yet sure what colours to get, start with nude tones and basics like red and dark purple. You’ll discover more as you go.
Concealer: This can be used under your eyes and around your brows to give it a little highlight. Don’t do this without watching a YouTube video on how to get it right. L.A Girl Pro Concealer is a great brand.
Mascara: Mascaras make your eye lashes pop. It’s also for when you want to look a bit extra to an event or an outing. You should have one for when you need it.
Eye Shadow: Eye shadows also make your eyes look beautiful. You should also buy nude colours you can’t go wrong with until you’re comfortable with bolder ones.
Fix it Spray: This helps your makeup stay in place. It works just like magic. It makes sure your makeup does not shift. Just spray it on your face when done with your makeup.
